體育教育個人陳述（PS）
Sport has always been a huge part of my life ever since I started playing competitive football at the age of nine. Playing for successful teams at club level and having a short stint at Saint ********* FC has allowed me to play under quality managers and obtain valuable coaching knowledge and learn from experience
Throughout my football career my leadership qualities have been recognised and commended by my mangers, resulting in captaincy at all the clubs I've been attached to. My approach is determined and I try to lead by example and encouragement. At present I am captain of **** ****** High school U18's and ******** Amateurs. Being given the chance to be a prefect and house captain of Douglas has also given me a valuable insight to taking responsibility for others which I see as being vital skill when teaching people.
In order to get a flavour of teaching first hand I have arranged a community placement within the P.E department of the school assisting the teachers in demonstrations, observations and absorbing valuable skills from persons of experience.
I am sure that being able to handle the pressure of a university course is one of the major factors in achieving success. My ability to handle pressure has grown considerably over the past seven months not least through my experience of working as a Commis chef. Having to work in an intense environment with trained professionals has given me a valuable insight into working life and having to handle the strains of maintaining a high pressure job. Hopefully this will also stand me in good stead for the pressures of a university degree.
I have chosen to do a sports orientated course as performing sport has always given me the highest satisfaction and ever since I can remember I have been envious of sports coaches and physical education teachers knowing when I grew up this is also what I wanted to do with my life.
Sport has so much to offer young and old alike. I hope that by qualifying in the field of sport coaching I can put something back into the system.
