Southampton is rapidly becoming the South's top leisure and cultural destination - no wonder, since there is so much to see and do.
Eating and drinking
Whether you fancy a quiet drink, a lazy lunch with friends or dancing into the small hours, Southampton has the right venue for you. From intimate lounge bars and roof terraces to Leisure World, which houses a casino, bowling alley, several restaurants and bars, a 13-screen cinema and two nightclubs, there's something to suit every taste.
Historic Oxford Street is home to Southampton's finest restaurants, but wherever you are in the city you'll be spoiled for choice. A wide variety of cuisines from across the globe is represented, with every budget catered for.
Shopping 購物
West Quay is one of the UK's top 10 shopping centres, with over 100 stores including all the high street favourites. There are three other shopping centres in the city as well as boutiques, designer stores and an antiques quarter.
Music and festivals 音樂&節(jié)日

On Southampton Common, the annual Power in the Park concert is the biggest concert in the South, featuring some of the biggest names alongside up-and-coming artists.
Slightly further afield, the massive Homelands in Winchester always has a stellar line up and Bestival, on the Isle of Wight, is the new hot ticket in the festival calendar.

The Sports Centre in Southampton includes a dry ski slope, all-weather pitches, cross-country routes and tennis courts. The Quays Eddie Read Swimming and Diving Complex offers a wide range of sporting activities and you can perfect your swing on the city's municipal golf course. The Southampton Boat Show, held annually in September, is the largest on-water boat show in Europe.
If spectating is your thing, the Rose Bowl is home to the Hampshire Cricket Club, and Southampton Football Club play in the superb St Mary's Stadium, just outside the city centre.
