模擬問題1：Why are you interested in our college?

模擬答案1：Your 800-year history and 90 Nobel Prize winners support your present excellence and future aspirations. What makes me more confirmed to choose your university is that University of Cambridge always sticks to its school motto - being the cradle of enlightenment and wisdom. Today’s world is changing so fast that more and more elite universities and professors or scholars tend to be commercialized and internationalized, but you university is not one of them. And you amazing supervision system and rigorous atmosphere have maintained for over a hundred years. It is a very good tradition and you are absolutely my first choice.

點評1：要展示面試者對一個學(xué)校的興趣。我們認(rèn)為可以從很多方面去挖掘，比如學(xué)校特別的校訓(xùn)或者文化，比如該學(xué)校（學(xué)院）在學(xué)術(shù)或者研究上獲得過什么重大的貢獻(xiàn)，比如該學(xué)校（學(xué)院）的畢業(yè)生能夠得到很好的就業(yè)機會，比如該學(xué)校（學(xué)院）里哪些老師或者領(lǐng)域是處于卓越地位的，等等。對于以上模擬答案，我們認(rèn)為還是過于模式化，對于該面試的同學(xué)，可以進一步利用數(shù)據(jù)，事例與自己的親身經(jīng)驗來說明，同時，我們強烈建議到目標(biāo)大學(xué)的相關(guān)學(xué)院的網(wǎng)站去了解專業(yè)，學(xué)科，研究，師資等具體信息。

模擬問題2：Why do you want to major in Finance?

模擬答案2：I was born in 1990s. I witnessed the reform and opening-up policy, and the amazing development of my country. However, the financial industry always lagged behind other industries. For example, we are still not able to achieve the interest rate liberalization which makes the interest rate of the private lending market unreasonably high. On the other hand, there is huge potential in the financial market.

點評2：這是個開放性的問題。可以從很多方面來說，比如家庭對面試者的影響，面試者與眾不同的經(jīng)驗，面試者的性格，面試者看過的書，對面試者有重大影響的人等等。但是請注意，招生老師非常希望看到面試者的成長中一些與眾人不同的地方，可以是家庭，性格，價值觀，以及面試者對一些問題的看法。當(dāng)然，需要面試者盡可能說明面試者的這兩個故事與所申請的專業(yè)的相關(guān)性。對于以上模擬答案，既然該同學(xué)已經(jīng)提到了金融專業(yè)，我們建議她可以深入去用數(shù)據(jù)與理論分析如何讓這個私募借貸市場的利率能夠進一步回歸合理的水平等等。

模擬問題3：What do you see yourself doing in 10 years from now?

模擬答案3：I hope to study in Master your university next year; after graduation, I will need about 3-5 years to become a qualified professional in the securities industry; however, my aim is not just this, because my career goal is to enter the private equity industry and build my own fund.

點評3：招生老師非常希望看到面試者對自己的藍(lán)圖的具體規(guī)劃，面試者可以具體到什么工作職位，做什么具體的事，甚至是薪資等，越具體越好。對于以上模擬答案，我們認(rèn)為該同學(xué)的回答還是簡略了一點，她可以對面試?yán)蠋熢龠M一步詳細(xì)描述一下自己的規(guī)則。

模擬問題4：Does your high school record accurately reflect your effort and ability?

模擬答案4：Not exactly! My high school transcripts reflect my study ability. But in my opinion Chinese exam-oriented education ignored some important abilities, like exploratory learning and innovation which I have been forging during my study.

點評4：對于招生老師來說，這個問題可以反映面試的學(xué)生是不是書呆子，而且可以反映學(xué)生對自己的成績表現(xiàn)的認(rèn)知。所以對于這樣的問題，不管學(xué)習(xí)成績好不好，都必須首先要突出學(xué)習(xí)成績只是一部分。但是要分析自己的成績表現(xiàn)，比如什么科目的表現(xiàn)能夠很好反映出面試者的優(yōu)勢，但是面試者有什么優(yōu)勢是沒有從成績上反映出來的。最好在成績單上反映不出來的優(yōu)勢可以進一步利用數(shù)據(jù)，事例與自己的親身經(jīng)驗來說明。

模擬面試5：Can you recommend a good book to me?

模擬答案5：Capital in the Twenty-First Century, by Thomas Piketty. This is a monumental work about inequality. The book's main thesis is that economic growth alone isn't sufficient to overcome three "divergence mechanisms" or "forces" that are in many places returning inequality in income and/or capital to pre-World-War-I levels. In principle, it could be read by a broad, college-educated audience。

點評5：這里雖然是簡單的推薦一本書，但是實際上它可以反映面試者的很多方面，比如面試者看問題的角度（這個主要看面試者如何去評論這本書的，或者如何看待書中的一些觀點的），比如面試者的價值觀與世界觀，比如面試者的個性特點等等。但是不管是顯示哪一方面，請記住，招生老師什么看重一些在面試者身上與眾不同的地方。

模擬面試6：Tell me about competition in the television industry.

模擬答案6：At the beginning, competition among domestic television companies was mainly through price war, which made profits of the industry decrease. Producers needed to cut costs to maintain the profit and thus to some extent affect the quality of their products. Consumers were driven off by inland TV’s inferior product quality to buy Japanese TVs. However, nowadays residents' income is increasing substantially and firms conduct differentiation strategies to adapt to the new Internet-market.

點評6：既然要申請金融方面的專業(yè)，那么面試者在回答這個問題的時候，可以盡可能地向金融方面去描述，比如家電行業(yè)競爭中的資本擴張，家電行業(yè)競爭中的資金鏈競爭，家電行業(yè)的融資競爭等等。

模擬面試7：How effective is current monetary policy?

模擬答案7：Now China’s central bank is trying to carry out market-based interest rate policy to reduce the general lending cost. Commercial banks, as the junction stations of the monetary system, play the key role in this progress. However, in China, nationalized banks’ domination in the market makes the de-leveraging process difficult to move on.

點評7：這個問題是分析我們現(xiàn)行的貨幣政策的效果。這位同學(xué)的答案基本上是回答了現(xiàn)在貨幣政策的現(xiàn)狀。但是我們建議可以更進一步給出改進現(xiàn)行貨幣政策的建議，比如說，既然說了國家銀行的壟斷地位影響了金融改革的進程，那么可以詳細(xì)給出自己在如何改變國家銀行的壟斷地位以及推進金融市場自由化方面的觀點與建議。

模擬問題8：Does inflation have any affect on the housing market?

模擬答案8：Yes, inflation affects the housing market. When money is injected into the housing market it causes inflation within the housing market, but wouldn't necessarily cause inflation in other markets. Therefore the cost of housing would go up faster than the general inflation rate. However, inflation only measures the general trend in prices, and there are many variables that go into a product that can affect its price.

點評8：關(guān)于通貨膨脹與房價的問題，應(yīng)該是當(dāng)下中國熱門的話題之一了。面試者完全可以有很多發(fā)揮地方。通貨膨脹肯定是會在一定程度上影響房價的。但是中國是一個政府調(diào)控作用比較顯著的國家，房價的變化除了受到通脹影響外，更多地受到其他因素的影響，比如政府對購房政府的變化，城市發(fā)展與人口變化等等。而且通脹的速度與房價上漲的速度是不一致的，如果通脹的速度比房價的上漲速度快，那么對于消費者購房來說是有利的，反之就是不利的。

模擬問題9：What is Finance?

模擬答案9：Finance is the allocation of stakes and liabilities over the long term under states of conviction and doubt. A key focus in finance is the time value of cash, which states that an unit of currency today is worth more than the same unit of money tomorrow.

點評9：這是一個開放性的問題。招生老師非常希望看到面試者對金融這個詞的理解，而這個理解也必須是屬于面試者自己的觀點，可以是抽象的概念，可以是具體的數(shù)據(jù)，可以是某些理論，可以是面試者自身在金融這個領(lǐng)域的一些特別經(jīng)歷等等。

模擬問題10：Why do firms exist?

模擬答案10：The ultimate goal of any private sector firm is to make money so they exist for making money for themselves...though the same is not always applicable to public sector units they most of the time are there for the welfare measures of the people.

點評10：這個也是一個開放性的問題，招生老師旨在了解學(xué)生的思慮問題的角度。為什么公司會存在？因為它們要把生產(chǎn)資料轉(zhuǎn)化為產(chǎn)品？因為它們要解決就業(yè)？因為它們要賺錢？因為它們可以為社會經(jīng)濟作貢獻(xiàn)（乘數(shù)效應(yīng)）？
